Golf is in our DNA

Joe Carr started a dynasty. Our founder, among the most decorated amateurs ever, was the first Irishman to play in the Masters, captain the R&A, and enter the World Golf Hall of Fame. We honour his legacy with the quality and consistency of our services.

Fraternity of golf

Joe’s sons, Marty and John, joined the family business in 1989. Their company – a fraternity bonded in camaraderie and craic – helped pioneer luxury golf travel in Ireland and transform the island into one of the world’s most beloved destinations for golfers.

Today, Carr Golf Travel crafts award-winning golfing adventures across the globe. Every year, guests return for the unrivalled combination of personal service, exclusive access, and unique experiences that our destination experts and local teams always deliver.

Family traditions become global events

His passion for family, fairways and fun inspired Marty Carr to create two internationally acclaimed events. Over the last four decades, our annual World Invitational Golf Tournaments have become cherished traditions for countless fathers, sons and daughters.

One group. All things golf

In 2010, we expanded to help golf venues transform their game for an increasingly competitive marketplace. Carr Golf Group was born.

From member-owned clubs to private multi-course operations, our expert-led commercial, maintenance and advisory teams enable clients to maximise their potential with a suite of tailored services.

New golfer journeys

In 2020, we added more legendary links, luxury stays and life-changing itineraries to our travel offering for guests by acquiring Irish Golf Tours. Already beloved by golfers worldwide, we built on the company’s stellar reputation with a modern rebranding, digital rebirth and new journeys to Scotland.

Pure links enjoyment

Carr Golf Group led a consortium acquisition of Seapoint Golf Links in 2021. We invested over €1m in the course and clubhouse to create an exceptional total-package experience for members and guests. Seapoint has since hosted the OFX Irish Legends (2023 & 2024) and the Irish Men’s Amateur Open (2025).

Revolutionising the game

Welcome to the off-course revolution. In 2024, we took Dublin by storm with the launch of Swingyard, Ireland’s first golf entertainment venue powered with Inrange® ball-tracking technology. Swingyard is a driving range, gaming centre, and retro diner rolled into one fun, friendly place for the whole family.
